Year-Round Volunteer Positions

Volunteer as a Reading Coach at Strong Readers Strong Leaders (SRSL). Reading Coach positions are open Tues-Thurs (4:45-6:00pm) to volunteers high school age and older. Volunteer orientation and child safety training are required, and background checks for volunteers over 18. Learn more about SRSL on our Elementary Programming page.

Food Distribution volunteering is open to all ages, at 7:30am every third Saturday of the month. No training or clearances are required. Fill out our interest form to receive more details.

Champions Mentors meet with our teen students every Monday, 5-6pm and engage in games, learning seminars, and mature conversation. Champions Mentors must be college-age or older and are required to complete child safety training and a background check. Volunteers are asked to make a semester-long commitment at minimum as a mentor. Learn more about our teen programs here.
